1. What We Collect

TipityPuzzle is designed to collect as little data as possible. There are no user accounts and no login required.

• Puzzle topics you enter: The topic you type is sent to our server to generate a puzzle. We do not store topics after the puzzle is returned.
• Usage data: Basic server logs (IP address, request timestamp, response status) are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
• Advertising data: Our ad partner (CleanMedia / SecureAdDisplay) may use cookies or device identifiers to show relevant ads. See their privacy policy for details.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To generate puzzles from the topic you provide
• To detect and prevent abuse of the AI generation endpoint
• To serve banner advertisements that fund the free service
• To comply with applicable law

We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. AI Processing

Puzzle generation uses the Anthropic Claude API. Your topic is sent to Anthropic's servers to generate word lists and clues. Anthropic's data usage is governed by their Privacy Policy. We do not store topics after the puzzle response is returned to your browser.

4. Third-Party Services

• CleanMedia / SecureAdDisplay — advertising platform. May use cookies for ad targeting. Subject to their own privacy policy.
• Anthropic — AI model provider used for puzzle generation. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Google Cloud Run — server hosting. Logs may be retained per Google's standard retention policy.
• Google Firebase — backend infrastructure. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies

TipityPuzzle itself does not set tracking cookies. We use browser sessionStorage only to remember your PWA install prompt dismissal — this data never leaves your device. Our advertising partner may set cookies for ad targeting. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through your browser settings or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out.

6. Children

TipityPuzzle is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us immediately at support@tipitylabs.com.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since we do not store personal data beyond server logs, most requests can be satisfied by simply not using the service. For specific requests, contact us at support@tipitylabs.com.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, rate limiting, and server-side input sanitization to protect the service. Puzzle topics are never logged to permanent storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of TipityPuzzle after changes constitutes acceptance.
